P90X-Insanity Hybrid, Day 23: Cardio & Max Recovery

I celebrated Memorial Day yesterday by embracing Cardio Recovery and Max Recovery. These are two separate workouts and are on my schedule for the same day.  I believe I got that idea from the sample hybrid workout sheets provided by Beachbody on their website. Anyway, I did both of the routines even though they are somewhat redundant. After my exposure to the other two Insanity routines I’ve done, it was weird to see a mellowed out Shaun T, slowly moving through the stretches and speaking in soft tones. The hardest moves are when you are required to hold those squat positions… burn.

If you’ve stumbled upon this blog and have done or are doing Insanity or a hybrid, please share your thoughts about doing both Cardio AND Max Recovery on the same day.  I’m inclined to just pick one or the other.

    I am one day behind you. I am working on the same hybrid and was searching today for others’ feedback on doing both recovery workouts in the same day. Going forward, I will likely stick to the max recovery workout as I thought it was the better of the two. Doing both on the same day didnt seem to be all that additive other than time.
