Deliverence. Another movie reference in the P90X series. I’m not sure why, but when stretching out, Tony says the over the head tricep stretch is just like the scene in Deliverence when they’re floating down the river. Okaay….. Anyone else concerned about the gruesome movie references? Just wondering.
Just the other day I was asking about plateauing in P90X. But for some reason, yesterday’s Back & Biceps routine went well. I increased weights and or reps on several exercises and increased my cumulative, unassisted Pull Ups to 37 from 32 the prior week. Consequently, my Back & Biceps “Power Score” (the accumulation of points on the P90X Excel worksheet “Data” tab), jumped to 691, up from 633 last week. It’s interesting, though, because I tried increasing the weight on Hammer Curls, but it was a non-starter. It seems gains come in some areas and you can’t really predict where and when. I’m just happy they come at all, when they do.
Ab Ripper X… did that as well.
