Skipped my workout yesterday as the day was devoted to dropping my son of at Georgia Tech to begin his college career. He was very excited about it, which is good. As a parent, it’s a bit weird, to say the least, to be on the other side of that transitional experience.
Today I picked up where I left off with my friend Shaun T and his Max Interval Circuit. I was very surprised to find that I generally performed better throughout the entire routine. It still “kicked my butt” and was not ever enjoyable, but it went better. My pace and breathing was better. And I was able to throw more plank punches at the end of those full body drills. So this is very encouraging because it would be (as everyone now says) awesome to be able to push through these Insanity routines without breaks and at good pace.
I’m taking another break tomorrow to go hiking.
