Round 4 Hybrid, Days 29 & 30


Milestone: 1/3 done with my 4th round!
Week 5 began yesterday with Chest, Shoulders & Triceps. I managed to keep all my weights and reps the same as when I last did this routine back in December. But, man, I’m feeling it today. Anyway, I’ve been meaning to post this little observation about Ab Ripper X for a few weeks now. It’s a testament to the fact that I have been working hard for over a year in all my P90X workouts that I only in this 4th round came to the following realization. When doing Oblique V-Ups and changing sides, it’s not necessary to get up and move your head to the opposite end of your mat. No, you can change sides by simply flipping your body to face away from the TV screen. I say it’s a testament to the fact that I’ve been working hard, because this is, charitably, the only reason I can accept for taking over a year to realize this obvious fact.

Today’s Max Interval Plyo brought me back into the glory that are the “Max” Insanity sessions. I tried my best to keep my form relatively good throughout. And I held up surprisingly well considering it’s been over a month since I last did a Max Insanity routine.
