I finished my sixth week of this hybrid with Legs & Back. And just to prove that I gave it my all and that I lost all higher cognitive functioning capabilities, my cumulative, unassisted pull ups for the week totaled 297. Not 300. That’s because: 1) I lost the ability to do simple addition and 2) even if I had not lost that basic skill I was still using the wrong Back & Biceps sheet to tally my pull ups for the first part of the week. So I didn’t quite make it. And really, is it worth it to make gains in the pull up world but lose your mind? I’ll let you know when I reach 300. It’s within my reach, but I’m not really looking forward to the attempt yet again.
In my zeal to get back on schedule, I skipped my rest day and went straight into Chest, Shoulders & Triceps yesterday. Consequently, I’m really feeling it today. But I like having the rest day fall on a Saturday, so hopefully I can keep that going.
I added some more rotating header pictures to this blog over the weekend. They are shots from various National Park excursions including: Rocky Mountain, Bryce, Grand and Devil’s Garden in the Grand Staircase NM. Hope you enjoy them.
