Round 4 Hybrid, Days 58 & 59

While I was busy doing Max Interval Plyo on Wednesday, we had some guests stop by to dine on our azaleas.

It’s beautiful in Atlanta now with everything a bloom. It’s just the pollen–it’s overwhelming.

Even with the pollen, I was happy to complete the Insanity routine without coughing. Still not 100%, but at my age, 85% is still something. Anyway, I was feeling like tennis would be doable once more.

Yesterday, I had a singles tennis match scheduled for the first time in a couple of weeks. I swapped out Shoulders and Arms in favor of Yoga. But I was, unfortunately left all dressed up with nowhere to go as the rain came just in time for the match. Not enough rain to wash away the pollen. But enough to make the courts unplayable. It’s annoying when I consume extra calories to support the tennis effort and then have no activity ahead of me other than digesting and converting to fat. Oh well.

With yesterday’s yoga, I felt strong enough to once again do push ups throughout the moving asanas. I did them all, but it wasn’t easy. And Warrior 2 was tough to hold the arms. Like I said, I’m still not 100%. Heart rate was high for yoga as well.
