Round 6, P90X-2, Days 31-35: The Pursuit of Physical (and Moral) Fitness

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.  ~Alexis de Tocqueville

Let’s just hope the Frenchman was wrong.

As we exercise our right to make our own voluntary, un-coerced choices today–a basic right which so many have fought and died to defend and protect–I hope all will reflect on the sanctity of that chamber and our own responsibilities to preserve and protect our Nation. This great beacon of Individual Rights and Freedom.
